My main concern is that Time Machine seems to be running well, there are no error messages but it does not back up some files as if it did not "see" the changes that occured in synced folders. I have another Mac where Sugarsync isn't installed which is not affected by this problem. Incremental time machine backups work for some time and after a while changes in synced folders aren't updated in Time Machine backups although they are replicated in Sugarsync and amongst my computers through Sugarsync (but not on the Time Machine backups of the computers). I've been able to replicate this problem on 4 different macs running 10.7.2 and the latest build of Sugarsync for Mac. I was checking the integrity of my Time Machine backups for my differents macs and realized that some folders synced to SugarSync aren't backep up properly by Time Machine. In addition and I am not sure if it is related but when I open an excel file in the cloud directly from my sugarsync I am having problems with formulas on the spreadsheet not working even though they work fine if done on a spreadsheet directly on my desktop. I don't want the file saved locally but it should be saved back to the original desktop location and in the cloud. How does this change if I am working on a file that is synced to my home computer. In order to keep everything the same should I be working on the file on the original computer and saving it as normal and then it will be synced to Sugarsync?Īm I wrong to assume that syncing works both ways? This new doc is available on all of my synced devices through My Sugarsync however the new file is not synced back to the original desktop my docs file and thus the original file and cloud files are now not the same. As a result this file is not on my local desktop. My desktop docs folder is in My Sugarsync and that folder is synced to 2 other devices. What I have been doing is opening excel, creating a new doc and saving it directly to My Sugarsync > my docs etc. I am new to Sugarsync and don't know if I am using it how I should be in this case.
